A personal
perspective:
Why I
placed this Documentation on the
Internet.

The Documentation
Völkermord der Tito-Partisanen
1944-1948, i.e. Genocide by Tito's Partisans
1944-1948
is a condensed
version of several books published shortly after
the war. The issue here dates from 1990, and
consists of 268 pages.
I worked many weeks to
scan, correct, and make the text ready for the
Internet, and have no knowledge at this time if it
is still in print. For a possible purchase (in
German only) perhaps a book dealer might be of help
- ISBN 3-925921-08-7.
My reason to place this
text online is connected with the fact, that the
systematic genocide, i.e. expulsion of the ethnic
Germans from Yugoslavia, this writer included (born
1937 in Pantschowa)
is being shunned into oblivion. This, however,
should not be construed as some sinister plot, but
is, in my opinion, primarily the result of a
do-nothing attitude within the Donauschwaben
communities, better known as the Landsmannschaften.
Why lift a finger to shine the spotlight on
atrocities against our people - when planning the
next fun activity and omnipresent performances of
their dance group is so much more
gratifying.
During the more than 7
years as originator and operator of
'Read-All-About-It'
I'm being confronted daily with numerous articles
from a variety of sources from which a selection is
then placed on the homepage for daily perusal.
Surprising is the rather limited information with
respect to the genocide of the Germans in
Yugoslavia, and strikingly noticeable is the
complete lack of any positions, such as press
releases, current articles, letters to editors,
etc., taken by any of the Donauschwaben
organizations, whether in Germany nor in other
countries! If any description of this deafening
silence, this "sticking-the-head-in-the-sand"
syndrome is appropriate, it would be nothing less
than contemptible.
This criticism, is, by no
means, directed entirely at the Landsmannschaften,
but is addressed to each and every Donauschwabe,
wherever he or she is located.
If one observes in this
context the deluge of critical information
published by the expellees from the Sudetenland,
Ostpreussen, etc., one can readily understand why
the current regimes in Prag and Warsaw are forced
into lame defensive statements, and try to
"justify" their barbaric conduct of some 60 years
ago.
The regime in Belgrad has,
as far as I know, never been subjected to any
criticism from within the Donauschwaben community.
Tito, and his henchmen, the profiteers to this very
day of the genocide of the Germans in Yugoslavia,
the wholesale looting, the appropriation of houses,
fields, businesses, etc., have never been held
accountable for these atrocities. He was revered as
a great "statesman" until his death in 1980.
It should be remembered
that the current political establishment in Belgrad
is the successor of the Tito regime and can be held
responsible for their actions.
Genocide has no statute of
limitations!
A timely opportunity to
voice an opinion, or, if I may be so bold to even
suggest it - launch a forceful protest by the
Donauschwaben - would have presented itself during
the deliberations regarding the Gypsy monument in
Berlin. Yes, my dear Donauschwaben in Germany -
your tax money will also be used to finance this
project! The Yugoslavian Gypsies were, contrary
what they would like to present themselves, in no
way victims! They participated en masse with the
Partisans in the slaughter, plundering, rapes,
etc., of the Germans with a devlish eagerness,
occasionally even outdoing their masters in
devising cruelties. Mentioned very graphically at a
number of places in the documentation.
It is hoped that the
Genocide by Tito's Partisans 1944-1948 will
help understand the magnitude of this extermination
of our people, and to keep their memory alive. This
is the very least we can do for them.

Regrettably, many descendants of the Donauschwaben,
primarily in the USA and Canada, have a rather
limited command of the German language, and have,
in most cases, no inkling of the plight of their
parents, grandparents, and relatives.
Well - this void can be
rectified immediately. The book, translated into
English, can now be found on the Internet! Mister
Henry Fischer is the translator, the text is listed
